About
From carrying a target to designing the room
Before Soumyashree Chatterjee facilitated a single workshop, he spent close to two decades carrying a sales number. He led field teams in banking and payments, managed national and key accounts, and ran a real-estate sales operation selling to ultra high-net-worth clients. That background shapes how he trains: less time on theory that sounds right in a slide, more time on the conversations, objections and execution problems that actually show up on the floor.
The move into facilitation wasn’t a step away from sales. Training sales and service teams was already part of nearly every sales role he held, from onboarding new relationship managers at HDFC Bank to preparing a project sales team for a real-estate launch. Independent facilitation, which he has done full time since 2024, is the natural continuation of that: taking the same practical, business-first instinct and applying it to leadership, communication and team-effectiveness programmes as well as sales.
He works across banking, insurance, payments, real estate, FMCG, manufacturing, education and services, delivering in classrooms, over video and through indoor and outbound experiential formats, based between Kolkata and Delhi and available across India.
Experience brought into the training room
What the sales years actually taught him
He has carried a personal and team sales target, so he understands the pressure a participant is actually under, not an abstract version of it.
He has managed key accounts and ultra-high-net-worth client relationships, which shows up in how he coaches consultative, relationship-led selling rather than transactional pitching.
He has been the person responsible for training a field force on a new product or process, so the programmes are built to survive contact with a real Monday morning, not just a workshop room.
He has led and managed people directly, which is why the leadership and communication programmes focus on specific, practisable behaviours rather than general encouragement.

Facilitation philosophy
Practical, participative, business-first
A session is judged on what participants can do differently on Monday morning, not on how engaging it felt on the day. That means fewer slides and more structured practice: role plays, simulations, business scenarios and guided reflection built around the organisation’s own context.
Facilitation, not lecture. Participants do most of the talking and most of the practising. The facilitator’s job is to design the situation well, ask the right question at the right moment, and help the group notice what its own behaviour revealed.
